CTOnews.com, June 9 (Xinhua)-- Apple has submitted a construction plan to the city of North Carolina to promote the construction of the Research Triangle Park (Research Triangle Park), which can accommodate more than 3000 employees when completed.

Apple announced plans for the park in May 2018, with a total investment of more than $1 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 7.12 billion yuan).

The Research Triangle is located in Piedmont, North Carolina and consists of North Carolina State University, Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the cities of Raleigh and Durham and Chapel Hill.

Apple submitted a construction application on May 30, with a total floor area of 324000 square feet and a maximum height of 73 feet, or about 6-8 stories, according to official construction plans.
