CTOnews.com June 9, Apple Vision Pro interaction does not rely on physical controllers, but by tracking eyeballs and gestures to interact with virtual objects. At a recent developer meeting, Apple designers outlined the interactive gestures that Vision Pro headers can use.

According to media reports, CTOnews.com summarizes these gestures as follows:

Tap: clicking your thumb and index finger at the same time signals to the head-mounted display device that you want to click on the virtual element on the display screen. Users also describe this as a kind of kneading, equivalent to clicking on the iPhone screen.

Double Tap: enable double-click gesture

Pinch and Hold: similar to clicking and holding down gestures to perform actions such as highlighting text.

Pinch and Drag: can be used to scroll and move windows. You can scroll horizontally or vertically, and if the user speeds up the gesture, the interface adjusts the speed accordingly.

Zoom: one of the two-handed gestures in which fingers can be pinched together, zoomed in by pulling the gesture, and the window size can be adjusted by dragging in the corner.

Rotate: one of the other two-handed gestures that will involve pinching fingers together and rotating hands to manipulate dummy objects.

Gestures will work in conjunction with eye movements, and many cameras in Vision Pro will track your eyes very accurately. Eye position will be a key factor in using gestures to locate what you want to interact with.
