CTOnews.com, June 8 (Xinhua)-- Indian brand Jio recently launched a Bluetooth tracker called JioTag, which is a replacement for Apple's AirTag.

According to the parameter information displayed on the official website, JioTag has an effective tracking range of 20 meters indoors and 50 meters outdoors, and connects to JioThing applications on smartphones via Bluetooth 5.1. In terms of weight, JioTag weighs only 9.5g, which is 1.5g lighter than AirTag. The JioTag is powered by a replaceable CR2032 button battery.

For ordinary consumers, the biggest advantage of JioTag is price. At Jio's official mall, it is priced at 749 rupees (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 65 yuan), less than 1/4 of AirTag. AirTag currently sells for 3490 rupees (currently about RMB301) in India. In addition, Jio also provides additional batteries and lanyards in the box.

It is worth mentioning that behind the Jio is the reliance Industries Group (Reliance Industries), run by India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani.
