CTOnews.com June 8 news, password management tool 1Password today released the plug-in download address for major browsers, the plug-in is currently in the public beta stage, and open to users Passkey support.

It is reported that the communication key (Passkey) is a set of security information stored in the 1Password server, composed of the user's password and other information. When users log in to the website using a browser, they can synchronize the password information in the communication key to the password input box directly through the 1Password plug-in to avoid the tedious operation of entering the password.

1Password also cited Google research that "using communication keys can save half the time than typing passwords" to show the convenience of using the password management tool. 1Password also stressed that "users can synchronize account passwords across platforms and browsers, which is more open than Apple's iCloud keychain and Google's password manager, and can meet the requirements of users who use different platforms at the same time."

CTOnews.com has learned that the 1Password browser plug-in supports Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and other browsers. Users need to log in to their accounts and restart their browsers after installation to use them. The official version will be launched in July.
