Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, June 8 (Xinhua) scientists at Hebrew University in Israel have developed a new mosquito repellent that can be sprayed on the surface of the skin to form a "camouflage" that can prevent 99% of mosquitoes from landing on the skin.

Scientists have previously used genetically modified mosquitoes and other ways to control mosquitoes to reduce the possibility of spreading malaria and other deadly diseases.

The mosquito repellent developed in this paper can not only achieve the effect of mosquito repellent, but also has the characteristics of mosquito repellent for a long time.

The team says the mosquito repellent consists of a polymer of indole, an aromatic substance found in flowers, and cellulose (cellulose).

The report points out that after spraying the mosquito repellent on human skin, the number of blood sucked by mosquitoes decreased by 80%, and the number of exposed eggs (egg-laying post-exposure) decreased by 99.4%.
