The biggest highlight of this update is the introduction of a more modern file manager, Dynamic Lighting, and support for Emoji 15.

Improved file manager main page and address bar file explorer is supported by Windows application SDK, and we will introduce a modern file explorer home page supported by WinUI. Introduce a more modern file manager interface and further improve performance and user experience.

A new "recommended files" (Recommended files) area is added at the top of the file manager. After logging in with the Azure Active Directory (AAD) account, users will rotate some recommended files in the form of thumbnails.

Another feature is the Quick Access folder, which, by default, requires users to log into a Microsoft account to see it.

The new version is based on WinUI and also improves on "favorites" and "recently used" content.

The file manager also introduces a modern address bar and search box. The new address bar intelligently identifies local and cloud folders with built-in status.

For OneDrive users, you will notice a new control in the address bar that displays the OneDrive synchronization status and the remaining space.

Microsoft said that the feature is not yet available to all Dev channel users, and that more users will be invited to participate in the test.

Dynamic LightingDynamic Lighting provides users and developers with the experience of natively controlling lighting devices (which need to comply with HID LampArray standards).

Microsoft says it is working with OEM and ODM vendors to deploy open standards, improve the interoperability of devices and applications, and improve users' RGB devices and software ecosystems.

Win11 applications can control the device in the foreground or background by calling API. Users can also customize the behavior of the device in the Windows settings.

Microsoft said it has partnered with several equipment manufacturers, including Acer, Asustek, Hewlett-Packard, HyperX, Logitech, Thunder Snake and Twinkly, and will expand further.
