On June 8, it was reported on Wednesday local time that the annual salary of British Telecom Group CEO Philip Jensen (Philip Jansen) will be frozen until he leaves or retires from the company. (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 9.768 million yuan, $1.36 million).

According to reports, Jensen's base salary will remain the same as it was when he joined the company in 2019, and BT is expected to release the information in its annual report released on Thursday local time.

BT Group is a member of the FTSE 100 index. In May, the company announced plans to cut 40% of its workforce worldwide. Meanwhile, French telecom tycoon and billionaire Patrick Draghi (Patrick Drahi) increased his stake in BT to 24.5%.

Jensen took office in 2019 with a fixed annual salary with a five-year agreement that expires this year. A source revealed that his salary will be renewed on a cyclical basis until he finally leaves the company.

BT didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
