CTOnews.com, June 8 (Xinhua)-- Apple's Vision Pro headset can be controlled by eyes and gestures. However, for users with special needs, Vision Pro also provides other ways to interact, such as VoiceOver (screen reader), Pointer Control (pointer control) and Dwell Control (stay control). At the WWDC conference for developers, Apple provided more details about these features.

Pointer Control is a way to control Vision Pro based on the position of the head, wrist or index finger, rather than through eye tracking, and users can adjust the movement sensitivity according to their own needs.

VoiceOver is Apple's screen reading function that allows users to read content on the screen. This feature is also supported on Vision Pro, and users can set a VoiceOver shortcut key in the setting, which can be activated or turned off by pressing the digital crown three times.

Dwell Control is a way to provide click, scroll, long press and drag options on the screen, allowing users to interact with the interface without using their hands.

In addition, Vision Pro has a Guided Access accessibility feature that allows users to focus on one application without being disturbed by other applications or interface elements. Apple says the feature is designed to minimize interference by processing other applications in the background, removing unnecessary UI elements and suppressing hardware buttons that may be distracting.

Vision Pro is expected to go on sale in the United States in early 2024 for $3499 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 24913 yuan).
