This means that users can use Vision Pro to operate software on Mac, such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, etc., anywhere.

However, CTOnews.com notes that there are some limitations to this feature. Currently, Vision Pro can only support one virtual 4K display, that is, users cannot have multiple Mac monitors in the virtual space. This may be disappointing for users who want to expand their workspace in hybrid reality, but this is due to the bandwidth limitations of AirPlay 2's wireless data transmission, which cannot be solved for the time being. After all, a 4K display already takes up a lot of data.

However, this does not mean that Vision Pro cannot provide the experience of multiple monitors. Although only one monitor can be transmitted from Mac, users can mix it with visionOS applications. In other words, in the virtual space, users can use virtual Mac displays to run complex software on Mac (Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, etc.) and create separate visionOS application windows for Safari, Mail, Notes, etc. In this way, the user can achieve an effect similar to that of multiple Mac monitors in hybrid reality.

Some people think that Apple is not very interested in displays because the company only offers two high-end displays: the Studio Display and the Pro Display XDR. For those who want a larger display, there is little choice. But maybe this is because Apple believes that physical displays are outdated technology and will be replaced by virtual displays in the future. Virtual displays allow users to adjust their size and location at will, and even replace laptops and desktops one day.

Vision Pro is not officially available yet and is not expected to go on sale until next year. At that time, whether users will accept this novel virtual Mac display function remains to be seen.
