CTOnews.com, June 8 (Xinhua)-- Apple's new headset, the Vision Pro, will support the use of Final Cut Pro video clipping software in augmented reality when it goes on sale, allowing users to make video clips through eyes and gestures, a filmmaker said.

The filmmaker, Matti Haapoja, a YouTuber with more than 1 million subscribers, had the opportunity to experience Vision Pro on WWDC and said the device would revolutionize the way filmmaking, narrative and content creation.

Haapoja said in a series of tweets that he had never experienced such immersion. He said Apple showed him places around the world, some of which he had been to, and it felt like reliving his memory. One of the scenes was feeding the shark underwater with a diver, who said he had done it and it was very real to be back there again. He also revealed that Final Cut Pro on the Vision Pro will be available when the device goes on sale. He said it was absolutely shocking that he was willing to pay more than $3499 for the device so that he could relive important moments and experiences later in life.

Haapoja did not say whether to use Vision Pro as the external display and input device of Mac to use Final Cut Pro, or a separate visionOS version of Final Cut Pro. CTOnews.com speculates that Apple may have adapted the recently launched iPad version of the Final Cut Pro to the headset.

What kind of experience it would be like to use Final Cut Pro for video editing on Vision Pro is unknown, but it is definitely a very novel experience.
