On May 28 this year, China Eastern Airlines used Comac's first C919 large airliner to fly MU9191 from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Beijing Capital Airport, opening the world's first commercial passenger flight, as previously reported by CTOnews.com.

The flight marks the comprehensive implementation of the "R & D, manufacturing, forensics and operation" of C919, the official "start" of China's civil aviation commercial operation of domestic large aircraft, and the "air experience" of China's large aircraft has officially entered the majority of consumers.

Feng Dehua, deputy general manager of China Eastern Airlines, said that after the first flight, starting from May 29, the C919 aircraft will be put into the route from Shanghai Hongqiao to Chengdu Tianfu to implement normal commercial operation, followed by the introduction of this aircraft one after another. The C919 will be put on more routes.

According to reports, China Eastern Airlines and Comac have signed the first five C919 aircraft purchase contracts. China Eastern Airlines has also specially set up the C919 Flight Department and the C919 passenger cabin Department, set up professional departments such as C919 signing and release seats, full-time project management posts, and domestic aircraft maintenance management centers, and has reserved relevant professionals.
