CTOnews.com, June 7 (Xinhua): after joining the FIDO Alliance last year, the password management tool 1Password released a public beta today, announcing the opening of access key (Passkey) support to users.

CTOnews.com according to the blog post, the public beta version of 1Password is suitable for the following browsers:

Chrome (macOS, Windows, and Linux)

Firefox (macOS, Windows, and Linux)

Edge (macOS, Windows, and Linux)

Brave (macOS, Windows, and Linux)

Safari (macOS)

1Password applications for Mac, iOS, Windows, Android, and Linux have also been updated to allow users to view, edit, move, share, and delete Passkey created with 1Password.

CTOnews.com Note: Passkey allows users to log in to apps and websites as if they were unlocking devices: locking PIN codes through fingerprints, facial scans, or screens. And, unlike passwords, Passkey can resist online attacks such as phishing, which makes them more secure than one-time SMS CAPTCHAs.
