CTOnews.com June 7, when users downloaded Google Chrome browser using Edge in February this year, Microsoft launched a full-size ad for Edge browser. Now, Microsoft seems to be doing it again, but using a new approach.

According to The Verge, when journalists in different parts of the United States and even outside the United States type "Chrome" into their Edge browsers, it instead generates an answer that looks like Bing Chat AI, but the content has nothing to do with Chrome, but an ad about Bing search with the title "Bing: not just a search engine for search".

Obviously, Microsoft decided to advertise Bing through AI search answers when users use Edge to find information about "Chrome", which is not a regular search result. When The Verge asked about AI chat search results, Jason Fischel, Microsoft's director of product marketing, gave a preliminary response, and CTOnews.com translated as follows:

"We often experiment with new features, user experiences, and behaviors to test, learn, and improve customer experiences. these tests are usually short and do not necessarily represent content that is ultimately or widely available to customers."

After the release of the report, Microsoft Jason Fischel sent back another reply, saying that Microsoft had deleted the ad and that "experience is no longer an intermittent ad."

While this specific interaction with Bing search may have been turned off, it does indicate that Microsoft is continuing to try more possible "advertising" ways to promote Bing search.
