Samsung said the Exynos Auto V920 chip follows Arm's latest car driving chip design, with 10 cores, and its processing power is 1.7 times that of the previous generation.

The Exynos Auto V920 chip also supports LPDDR5 and can handle 6 high-resolution screens and up to 12 camera sensors.

The Exynos Auto V920 chip also enhances the graphics processing ability, the speed of the GPU core is twice as fast as the previous generation, and the chip further enhances the AI feature to meet the intelligent interaction between the driver and the information in the car.

Samsung says the neural processing unit (NPU) is 2.7x more powerful, allowing the chip to support enhanced driver monitoring functions, such as better and faster assessment of the environment around the car, thereby improving overall safety.

CTOnews.com also learned from the report that the Exynos Auto V920 also meets the ASIL-B requirements set by the international automotive safety standard ISO 26262, and the chip detects and manages faults in real time to ensure the safety of the IVI system.
