Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com On June 7, Intel announced that it will discontinue almost all 11th generation Tiger Lake processors as it has launched the 13th generation Raptor Lake and is about to launch the 14th generation Meteor Lake.

Tiger Lake, the successor to Ice Lake, is based on Intel's 10 nm SuperFin process node, primarily for laptops.

Intel has discontinued parts of the Tiger Lake series of processors since April this year, in addition to the entire Tiger Lake B series, Tiger Lake-H (45W) and Xeon W SKUs.

Intel said that since June 5, the remaining Tiger Lake SKUs, including Tiger Lake-H35, UP3 (formerly U-series) and UP4 (formerly Y-series) chips, have reached end-of-life (EOL) status.

Intel will also discontinue the 500 series mobile chipset after discontinuing nearly all of its Tiger Lake portfolio.

Intel announced that HM570, WM590 and QM580 chipsets have entered EOL status and will no longer accept Tiger Lake and 500 series mobile chipset orders after October 27.

Final orders for processors and chipsets will ship by December 29, 2023 and June 28, 2024, respectively.

CTOnews.com Note: Intel says embedded customers are not affected by this shutdown. Embedded Tiger Lake UP3 processors and corresponding 500 series mobile chipsets will continue to exist until further notice.
