CTOnews.com, June 7, Microsoft recently responded to the concerns of the European Union, saying that users can not only uninstall the Teams-based "Chat" app, but also clean up the relevant options in the setup app.

According to foreign science and technology media Windows Latest reports, Microsoft in May this year released a preview of Win11, hidden "RemoveChat" related information.

CTOnews.com note: when users enable "RemoveChat", they will not only uninstall the related applications, but also clean up all links, shortcuts, related settings options, and so on that refer to "Chat".

Windows Latest says "RemoveChat" will link to some geographic API, so speculate that the cleanup feature should be limited to Europe or certain markets.

Chat is a lightweight integrated version of Teams on Win11 systems that allows users to keep in touch with friends and family with a single click.
