CTOnews.com June 7 news, Apple launched yesterday watchOS 10 in the first developer beta version, for Apple Watch Series 6/7/8, Apple Watch SE expansion "optimize charge limit" function.

The "Optimize Charge Limit" feature was previously limited to Apple Watch Ultra watches, and its function was mainly to learn your daily charging habits in order to extend battery life.

In addition to the Optimize Battery Charge feature, Apple Watch Ultra also offers the Optimize Charge Limit feature. This feature will learn your daily usage habits to determine when to charge to the optimal limit and when to allow a full charge. After you set up Apple Watch Ultra, the Optimize Charge Limit feature turns on by default.

When Optimize Charge Limit is on, an open charging ring appears when Apple Watch Ultra is connected to a charger.

The watch uses machine learning on the device to learn your daily charging habits, and enables the Optimize Battery Charge feature only if the watch determines it will be connected to the charger for a long time. The purpose of this algorithm is to ensure that Apple Watch remains fully charged when removed from the charger.
