CTOnews.com, June 6 (Xinhua)-- with the help of astronomers from around the world, NASA has discovered a total of 32103 near-Earth asteroids, of which more than 10,000 are more than 140m in diameter, according to an infographic released by NASA this month.

NASA predicts that although more and more near-Earth asteroids have been discovered with the improvement of scientific observation technology, it is estimated that at least 15000 near-Earth asteroids with a diameter of more than 140m have not yet been discovered.

Seven of these NEOs have been closer to Earth than the moon in the past 30 days, and 105 have been closer to Earth than the moon in the past 365 days, NASA said in its infographic.

So far, NASA says it has discovered 852 near-Earth asteroids with a diameter of more than 1 kilometer, as well as 50 estimated but unconfirmed near-Earth asteroids, totaling more than 900.
