Another new feature in Firefox 114 is that WebTransport is enabled by default to handle multiple use cases, which is an alternative to WebSockets and comes in handy when using Firefox to play games and live broadcasts. Mozilla said that WebTransport is based on HTTP3 and plans to add support for HTTP2 in future releases.

Firefox 114introduces the ability to search for bookmarks directly from the Bookmarks menu, supports limiting search to local browsing history by selecting the search History option from the History, favorites, or Application menu buttons, printing pages using window.print () in Firefox for Android, and reordering the extensions listed in the extensions panel.

For Web developers, this version supports the compressed parameter copied as cURL in the network panel, improves the accessibility checker to accurately identify all ARIA roles, supports CSS Cascading Level 4 supports () @ import rule syntax, supports ES modules on DedicatedWorker and SharedWorker, and supports infinity and NaN CSS constants in the calc () function.
