CTOnews.com, June 6 (Xinhua)-- the thumbs-up "Like" icon has taken root in the hearts of the people since the social network Facebook was launched in 2009. Microsoft announced in its latest blog post that user comments on the Windows version of the Word app will introduce the "Like" icon.

Microsoft said that after users add comments to Word, a "Like" icon appears in the upper right corner of the comment, allowing users to click to indicate approval of the comment.

CTOnews.com Note: Microsoft stresses that the "Like" icon will not be displayed when the Word document is in read-only mode. Word for Windows Beta testers and web Word users can now try this new feature.

Microsoft invites users running version 2305 (build 16501.20152) or later of Current Channel (Preview) to participate in the test.
