Intel will sell 35 million Class A shares of Mobileye for a total value of about $1.5 billion (currently about 10.65 billion yuan). After the sell-off, Intel's stake in Mobileye fell from 99.3% to 98.7%.

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley acted as joint bookkeeping managers for the share sale, the company said.

Mobileye is an Israeli driverless technology company that Intel has acquired. Mobileye is facing challenges from Intel and Qualcomm, and the two chip giants are also attacking the automotive industry.

BMW, Nissan and Volkswagen are Mobileye customers. Mobileye successfully listed on Nasdaq last year, raising $861 million (currently about 6.113 billion yuan).
