Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com June 6, Apple announced the StandBy function in today's opening speech of WWDC 2023. After iPhone is enabled, it can act as a smart screen (Smart Display), which is a practical feature for users using smart homes.
Apple has announced that it will introduce StandBy in its iOS 17 update, which will be launched this fall. CTOnews.com note: when enabled by iPhone users, clocks, Apple Home controls, weather, music controls, application smart stacks, and other features are displayed by default. In the nighttime environment, the StandBy function automatically dims the screen and displays the clock in a red tone to avoid disturbing the user's sleep.
Apple says the StandBy function can correctly display time, schedule and other information, and can respond to your voice commands like smart speakers. Users can ask questions through Siri, just like the command HomePod, and iPhone will display the corresponding visual results.
Apple did not mention at the launch that the iPad can also use the StandBy feature, but only introduced an interactive widget for iPad that can control networked devices such as smart lights through Apple Home widgets.
