Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com June 5 news, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) announced that the GPT service has completed the joint commissioning test, officially launched today, serving the faculty and students of the university. The GPT service is led by the Office of the President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and jointly built by the Information Hub and the Information Technology Division. HKUST (Guangzhou) is the first university in China to fully use GPT services on its campus.

It is reported that the GPT services launched by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) include GPT-4 and ChatGPT, including all the staff and students of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). The service area is on the campus of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), which is limited to on-campus Internet access. The school has formulated the "Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) GPT Service use Management regulations (trial run)", which requires all teachers and students to abide by it.

CTOnews.com previously reported that a course at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology encouraged students to use ChatGPT in their mid-term reports and promised extra points. In early March this year, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology first announced that it was up to teachers to decide whether or not to allow students to use ChatGPT. Huang Yueyong, associate professor and senior consultant (entrepreneurship) at HKUST, said that unlike other Hong Kong universities banning or restricting the use of ChatGPT or other AI tools, HKUST management wanted to encourage people to "learn as soon as possible".
