Guoxin Technology's first automotive airbag electronic ignition chip CCL1600B is a mixed signal system integrated IC for airbag applications. The CCL1600B chip integrates power module, trigger circuit module, sensor interface module and complex security module into a single chip, which officials say can replace foreign products such as the Bosch CG90X series and ST's L9679 series. The highly compact dual-chip airbag ACU (airbag controller) composed of the mixed-signal system IC and CNIC's gauge-level microcontroller chip will realize the national production scheme of automobile airbag.

The CCL1600B chip is based on the first generation airbag ignition drive chip developed by the high voltage mixed signal platform. The package form is TQFP128epad, and the model is divided into CCL1600B1L4 (without CAN function) and CCL1600B2L4 (with CAN function).

The chip provides up to 16 airbag ignition circuits, 6 PSI5 sensor interfaces, 10 resistance or Hall element detection paths, and 2 high voltage PWM output interfaces with enhanced safety detection and automatic diagnosis functions; the configuration of the power supply system can solve the power supply problem of other chips in the ECU (electronic control unit) and integrates one CAN physical interface (supported by the CCL1600B2L4 model).

When the collision occurs, the collision sensor transmits the signal to the airbag computer through the CAN bus, and the computer sends the ignition signal after judgment, which makes the airbag expand and pop up instantly.
