At a recent Raspberry Pi community event, Eben Upton, chief executive of raspberry pie, acknowledged this and said that "the supply of raspberry pie is currently being increased."

"it has been a painful two years since we experienced a shortage of raspberry pie in 2021, but we are confident that the shortage is over," he said.

CTOnews.com, the ▲ Tuyuan raspberry pie foundation, noted that only 600000 raspberry pies were sold in May 2023, while only 800000 were sold in the first quarter of 2023, the lowest quarter of raspberry pie sales since 2015. The raspberry pie foundation said that "this is due to the subsequent undersales caused by the previous big promotion of raspberry pie during the Christmas holiday in 2022."

According to Eben Upton, "thanks to raw material reserves provided by partner Sony, demand rebounded after the downturn in the first quarter, and 2023 will be the strongest year in our history for raspberry pie and corresponding module sales."
