"over the next few years, generative AI will have a huge impact on the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, media, architecture, interior design, engineering, automotive, aerospace, defence, healthcare, electronics and energy industries," Brister said.

By 2025, more than 30% of new drugs and materials will be systematically discovered by generative AI technology.

By 2025, the use of comprehensive data will reduce the total amount of real data needed for machine learning by 70%.

By 2025, 30 per cent of external marketing messages for large organizations will be generated by AI, up more than 15 times from less than 2 per cent in 2022.

By 2026, more than 100 million people will work with robot colleagues (generative AI) who will perform their respective duties and contribute accordingly within their respective functions.

By 2027, nearly 15 per cent of new applications will be automatically generated by AI without human involvement. For comparison, there are currently no applications automatically generated by AI (2023).

Brister quoted Gartner's forecast as saying that generative AI will have a significant impact on the labor market, and there is a growing concern that human living space is being squeezed by AI.
