CTOnews.com June 5 news, German Linux hardware supplier TUXEDO today announced the launch of the second generation of TUXEDO Gemini versatile and high-performance Linux notebooks.

The second generation of TUXEDO Gemini Linux laptops have three models of 15.6in, 16in, and 17.3in 16:10 LED backlit displays that support up to 240Hz refresh rates and resolutions up to 2560 x 1440, and support Advanced Optimus (dynamic display Toggle) through NVIDIA GPU for best performance.

These devices also have a G-SYNC feature that synchronizes the refresh rate with the rendered frame of the video card to avoid screen tearing and almost complete sRGB coverage (95 to 99 per cent). All three screen variants of the TUXEDO Gemini series use anti-glare display, which is suitable for games.

TUXEDO Gemini Gen 2 is equipped with up to 64GB DDR5 5600MHz memory and the new Intel 13th generation Core i9-13900HX chip, with 24 cores (8 performance cores, 16 efficiency cores) and 32 threads, 36 MB cache, and up to 5.4GHz frequency.

The TUXEDO Gemini series also offers NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU for Linux gamers, with up to 8GB GDDR6 VRAM.

The new TUXEDO Gemini series uses 73Wh capacity batteries with battery life of up to 6 hours in medium brightness and 9 hours in idle mode with the lowest display brightness and no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or keyboard backlight.

In terms of connectivity, TUXEDO Gemini Gen2 features dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6e AX211 Wireless, Bluetooth 5.2, Gigabit LAN, Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C 4 Gen3x1, USB-C 3.2 Gen2x1 and DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 and G-SYNC, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, USB-A 3.2 Gen1, USB-A 2.0,3.5mm headphone Jack and microSD card reader with G-SYNC support.

The 15-inch TUXEDO Gemini Gen2 model starts at 1410 euros (currently about 10744 yuan), the 16-inch model starts at 1495 euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 11392 yuan), and the 17-inch model starts at 1510 euros (currently about 11506 yuan). The basic configuration is Core i9-13900HX CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, 16GB DDR5 memory and 250GB SSD storage.
