CTOnews.com, June 5, Mesa 23.1.1, released as the first maintenance update to the latest Mesa 23.1 open source graphics stack series for Linux-based operating systems and other supporting platforms, fixed various bug Bug for known applications and games.

Mesa 23.1.1 includes a number of fixes for its various open source graphics drivers, improved decoding of VA-API / H.264 using Mozilla Firefox web browsers and AMD Radeon RX 6600 graphics cards on Fedora Linux 37 systems, and VA-API video output on AMD Radeon RX 6600 GPU.

Mesa 23.1.1 also improves support for a variety of games, such as Assassin's Creed: the Hall of the Soul for RADV (Radeon Vulkan driver), Rainbow 6: siege for ANV (Intel Vulkan driver), Pixel Game Maker MV, Microsoft Simulator Flight and Battlefield 1-5 for AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU for RADV.

Mesa 23.1.1 also improved "Enemies" technical demonstration support for Unity on RADV drivers, improved support for GFXBench 4 and 5 graphical benchmark suites on Android, improved support for AMD Radeon R9 270X graphics cards with RadeonSI drivers, and various other minor bug fixes.
