Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com June 5, Ford recently announced that it will recall 142734 Lincoln MKC vehicles in the United States. Ford said it recalled 2015-2019 models because of the risk of short circuit and overheating in the vehicle's battery monitoring sensors.

According to the recall notice, the location of the sensor may cause damage to batteries or related components that repair the area, which in turn causes the sensor to short-circuit, causing the engine to catch fire during flameout parking and driving.

CTOnews.com learned from the relevant reports of overseas media Motor1 that so far there have been 19 reports of fire on the engine bonnet of MKC models, of which 7 accidents occurred when the vehicle was parked in a flameout state. Of the 19 accidents, 11 occurred in the United States, 7 in China and 1 in Canada. Ford said it had not received any reports of casualties related to the accident.

Ford said owners of the 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC should park their vehicles outdoors and away from buildings. Ford will add a plug-in fuse to the battery monitoring sensor, which will be cut off in the event of a short circuit. It is reported that the recall also covers some 2021 Ford Expedition and Lincoln navigators.
