CTOnews.com, June 5 (Xinhua) Microsoft has been working hard to promote features, products and services on Windows 11 or Windows 10. According to GHacks, the latest place for Microsoft to place ads is the Get Help (get help) app.

When a user opens the get help app and may ask for help on their PC, a banner about Microsoft Teams Essentials is displayed, along with a link to learn more, to direct the user to a Microsoft Teams Essentials page, but the banner can be closed manually.

The content of Microsoft's advertisement is as follows:

"use new conferencing solutions designed for small businesses to improve productivity and collaboration while staying organized. Learn more."

Users can access the get help application by selecting the get help link in Settings to learn more about the settings or by directly launching the get help application.

This promotional banner is a bit annoying, and no matter which setting you are in, it seems to display the same Teams Essentials ad, even if the theme has nothing to do with Teams itself. Therefore, if the user wants some information about the system, the Teams Essentials link does not help.

In May, Microsoft also pushed more promotional content in its setup app, which showed Microsoft 365 ads. Previously, ads such as Microsoft 365 also appeared in Windows 10 OOBE (CTOnews.com Out of Box Experience).

In April, Microsoft pushed more MSN news and ads in its redesigned Windows 11 weather app, but the code was later deleted and replaced by widgets.
