CTOnews.com June 4, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration disclosed on June 2, Tesla is recalling some 2022-2023 Model Y models, a total of 137vehicles.

CTOnews.com noted that the recall was due to the risk that parts in the fastening part of the steering wheel might not be tightened as required and that loose fasteners could disengage the steering wheel from the steering column, causing the vehicle to lose steering control.

According to reports, on May 4, Tesla service technicians found that the steering wheel was loose while repairing the car seat, and then reported it. Tesla conducted on-site quality inspection from May 5 to May 19 and found the service and production records of the problematic vehicles, as well as the production records of all Tesla factories.

Tesla said that there have not been any related car accidents, the car company will carry out free inspection and reinforcement / replacement for these 137car owners. Tesla Service Center will provide services to users as needed, and a notification letter is expected to be sent on July 28, 2023.

At present, there is no case to show that this problem affects other batches of models and models in other markets. It seems that the problem is only due to the fact that some batches of models in a factory in the United States have not tightened the steering wheel fasteners, so domestic car owners do not have to worry.
