Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues on the way! CTOnews.com, June 4 (Xinhua) everyone should have heard of the rice grown in China's space station, but in fact it is only a microcosm of China's space breeding. Since the establishment and implementation of the project, China's manned space program has always focused on improving comprehensive benefits and is committed to serving economic and social development. During the various missions during the construction phase of the space station, space breeding experiments were arranged, while Shenzhou 14 and Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft carried more than 1300 crop seeds, microbial bacteria and other space breeding materials from 112 units.
This morning, the fourth batch of space science experimental samples from the Chinese space station returned to the ground with the re-entry module of the Shenzhou 15 spacecraft and delivered the space application system led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences at the Dongfeng landing site.
CCTV reported that some of the experimental samples were delivered to the Space Application Engineering and Technology Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing at about 14:00 today, and the space application system as a whole and relevant experimenters checked and confirmed the basic state of the returned experimental samples, and handed over the relevant experimental scientists for follow-up research.
CTOnews.com learned from the official that the space application system went down with the Shenzhou 15 spacecraft's re-entry module, including experimental samples of 15 scientific projects, including life experimental samples such as cells, nematodes, Arabidopsis, and ratooning rice, as well as experimental samples of various alloy materials, new infrared detector materials, and amorphous film materials, with a total weight of more than 20 kg.
CCTV said that follow-up scientists will conduct molecular biology, cell biology, in-orbit growth and development, and metabolism analysis on these returned life samples, and analyze the law and molecular mechanism of the effects of space microgravity and radiation on experimental samples through comparison with the ground, so as to provide a theoretical basis for the further creation of crops adapted to the space environment and the development and utilization of space microgravity, radiation and other resources.
Of course, the experimental samples of materials will be tested and analyzed in the laboratory, in order to reveal the laws of physical properties and chemical changes of materials which are difficult to know in the ground gravity environment, and to obtain the key conditions of high-performance preparation technology. guide the preparation of new materials on the ground.
In December last year, the Shenzhou-14 astronauts brought back the third batch of space science experimental samples, including rice. It is the first time in the world that China has completed the experiment of cultivating rice in the whole life cycle in space. At present, some of the returned rice and Arabidopsis thaliana samples have been fixed, and rice seeds will continue to be cultured by scientists.
