CTOnews.com, June 3, according to TechPowerUp, manufacturer Patriot unveiled what may be the world's first PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD using DRAMless architecture at the Taipei computer Show.

As shown in the figure above, the PCIe 5.0SSD without DRAM cache can reach 1-4TB, read speed up to 12000MB/s and write speed up to 10500MB/s, which is faster than some PCIe 5.0SSD with clustered E26 master, which has DRAM cache.

According to foreign media reports, this PCIe 5.0SSD without DRAM cache is controlled by Maxiotek MAP1802A-F1C. At present, CTOnews.com has not found the introduction information of this series of master control on Lianyun official website.

In the early days of the market, the PCIe 5.0SSD read speed is basically in 10000MB/s, and recently the 12000MB/s model has also been on the market.
