CTOnews.com June 3 news, project manager Clem Lefebvre said in the monthly report released today that Linux Mint 21.2 distribution finished development a few days ago, marked most of the projects, the next work is to compile and add to the repository, and will soon release the ISO image.

Lefebvre said in the weekly report that the Xfce version of Linux Mint 21.2 will be upgraded to version 4.18, and support for XDG Desktop Portal has been added to the Cinnamon,MATE and Xfce versions to support global dark mode.

XDG Desktop Portal has three options: "light color", "dark color" and "determined by application". A number of apps, including Firefox,Xed,Thingy,Xreader,Xviewer and Pix, have been supported.
