CTOnews.com June 2 news, Xi'an Bureau of Industry and Information Technology announced the "announcement on BYD Automobile Co., Ltd. to apply for the liquidation of subsidies for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in 2020-2022. BYD applied for a total of 806791 vehicles with central financial subsidies for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, totaling 6.666062326 billion yuan."

CTOnews.com learned from the attachment that the vehicles applied for by BYD are plug-in hybrid passenger cars and pure electric passenger cars.

In 2020, a total of 2510 vehicles were applied for, with a total amount of 39.365 million yuan, including 244 passenger cars purchased by private individuals, official vehicles used by party and government organs, and vehicles in civil aviation airports (without mileage requirements). 2266 in other categories (the mileage will be valid for two years to meet 20,000 km).

A total of 27699 vehicles were applied for in 2021, with a total amount of 393.468 million yuan, including 8188 passenger cars purchased by private individuals, official vehicles used by party and government organs, and vehicles in civil aviation airports (without mileage requirements). 19511 in other categories (the mileage will be 20, 000 km by December 31, 2022).

A total of 776582 vehicles were applied for in 2022, with a total amount of 6.233229 billion yuan, including 751334 passenger cars purchased by private individuals, official vehicles used by party and government organs, and vehicles in civil aviation airports (without mileage requirements). 25248 in other categories (the mileage will meet 20,000 km by December 31, 2022).
