Brilliance BMW Co., Ltd.

A total of 42 domestic i3 electric vehicles were recalled from May 3, 2022 to April 12, 2023, and 47 domestic iX3 electric vehicles were recalled from September 22, 2021 to March 2, 2023.

BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd.

Recall a total of 5 i4 electric vehicles with production date from December 15, 2021 to October 6, 2022, 1 i7 electric vehicle with production date of September 20, 2022, and 4 iX electric vehicles with production date from February 4, 2022 to September 27, 2022.

Because the cable bridge of High Voltage Battery Monitoring Electronic equipment (CSC) is not properly locked in place in the scope of this recall, in extreme cases, CSC cannot effectively monitor high voltage battery, and implement failure protection measures to stop the power output of high voltage battery, resulting in power interruption and safety risks for moving vehicles.

Brilliance BMW Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace high-voltage battery monitoring electronic equipment for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

Brilliance BMW Motor Co., Ltd., BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will notify relevant users in the form of registered letter, Internet driving news and so on.
