CTOnews.com, June 2 (Xinhua)-- US news website Axios recently released the results of a poll of "America's top 100 favorite brands". The results show that American consumers seem to prefer Samsung to Apple.

▲ Touyuan AxiosCTOnews.com looked at the list and found that Samsung and Japanese carmaker Toyota swapped rankings, down one place from last year to seventh place. The company ranked fifth with a score of 84.6 in the product and service segment.

Apple is strong on the list, jumping 11 places from last year to 10th, but still lagging behind Samsung. Amazon, on the other hand, maintained the same ranking as last year, ranking eighth.

Patagonia, the high-end eco-friendly clothing brand, ranked No. 1, up two places from last year. Costco, the warehouse membership discount store, soared 24 places to No. 2. No. 3 is the machinery and equipment brand John Deere.

LG, which is from South Korea like Samsung, has risen nine places this year to No. 18 on the list. Japanese companies have also performed strongly, with Sony (12), Honda (13) and Subaru (16) all in the top 100, in addition to Toyota, which took No. 6 from Samsung.

For other companies, Adidas and BMW from Germany ranked 22nd and 24th respectively, while Chinese social media platform TikTok ranked 94th. Microsoft ranked 15th, Google 35th, Meta 96th and Twitter 97th, and Tesla 62nd.
