CTOnews.com, June 2, according to a new report from South Korean media The Elec, LG Display will increase the supply share of LTPO OLED panels in Apple's iPhone 15 Pro series. LG has expanded its LTPO OLED capacity to meet the heavy demand for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. This development is bad for Samsung, which reportedly provided up to 70 per cent of the OLED panel for last year's Apple iPhone 14 Pro series.

LG's low LTPO OLED yield last year limited supply to Apple, leading to delays in shipments of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, allowing Samsung to step in and secure additional display panel orders instead of LG, but Apple's costs became higher due to short notice times and extreme circumstances.

CTOnews.com has reported that LG and Samsung recently reached an agreement that LG will supply OLED panels for Samsung's 77-inch and 83-inch OLED TVs from 2024 to 2026.
