CTOnews.com, June 2, according to the latest report released by market research firm Statcounter, it has been nearly 20 months since Microsoft released Win11 on October 5, 2021 (to June 5), and the proportion of versions has declined.

Chart data show that Win11 accounts for 22.95% of Windows systems in May and 23.11% in April this year, a decrease of 0.16%, interrupting the upward trend of Win11.

The report shows that the proportion of Win10 systems is 71.9%, compared with 71.36% in April this year, an increase of 0.54 percentage points.

Microsoft plans to end support for Win10 on October 14, 2025, and has stopped selling Win10 Professional and Home versions.

Microsoft also announced that it will no longer update the Win10 push function and hopes to promote Win10 users to upgrade to Win11.

The proportion of Win7 system decreased further, to 3.61% in May and 3.78% in April, a decrease of 0.16 percentage points.
