Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens, soft media new friends 2010825, EdgeOS, Dest1n, Microsoft to fear, Terrence clue delivery! CTOnews.com June 2, according to the Microsoft blog, Microsoft today released a preview version of Windows 11 Build 23471 update for Dev channels.

New features in Build 23471 add mobile phone photos to the file explorer gallery

Accessing your phone's photo albums from PC is an important daily task, which can now be done more easily using the File Explorer gallery. There is a new button "add phone photos" in the command bar to help you set up PC to be ready to display these photos in the gallery. Clicking this button now opens a URL with a QR code that you can scan with your mobile phone to get started.

Note: Microsoft mentioned earlier that it needs to choose to join the OneDrive preview program to get the OneDrive synchronization client version, which handles the protocol that is invoked when this button is clicked. This is no longer required and you do not need to choose to join the preview plan version of the OneDrive synchronization client to work.

Spanish tells the story of people's natural voices (Spain and Mexico)

Microsoft has introduced new natural voice in Spanish (Spain and Mexico), making it easy for narrator users to browse the web, read and write emails, and do more. Natural narrator's voice uses modern, text-to-voice (TTS) on the device, and once downloaded, it can be supported without an Internet connection.

To use one of these natural sounds, follow these steps to add it to your PC:

Press the WIN + Ctrl + N hotkey to open the narrator settings.

Under the narrator's voice, select the add button next to add Natural Sound.

Select the voice you want to install. You can install all voice messages, but you must install them separately.

The new Spanish (Spanish) sounds are Microsoft Alvaro and Microsoft Elvira.

The new Spanish (Mexican) sounds are Microsoft Jorge and Microsoft Dalia.

To start downloading the selected voice, select install. The new voice will be downloaded and available in a few minutes, depending on your Internet download speed.

After downloading the new voice, in the narrator settings, select your favorite voice from the drop-down menu of narrator Voice > Select Voice.

Note: if your display language is not set to Spanish, in step 3, you need to first select "Select a different language", then select the appropriate language, and then select a specific voice.

Changes and improvements [lock screen]

Updated the network eject button on the lock screen to comply with Windows 11 design principles.

[file Manager]

Microsoft has begun to introduce the ability to separate and merge tabs in File Explorer, which will be fully available soon, so not all internal test users on the Dev channel will see it immediately.

The gallery in File Explorer was launched in Build 23435 and is now available to all preview experience members in the Dev channel.

[settings]

When Wi-Fi is available but poor, it is easier to control whether or not to use a cellular network, using new switches that have been added to Settings > Network and Internet > Cellular Network.

Repair [File Manager]

Fixed an issue where pressing Shift + F10 did not open the context menu in File Explorer.

Fixed an inconsistent display of access keys if no buttons were pressed.

Fixed the following issues for previewing the Windows App SDK version of File Explorer

Fixed an issue that caused explorer.exe to crash when the context menu was opened for some internal testers. The same problem is thought to be the reason why some internal testers see the old design rather than update it.

The following problems with the internal test gallery have been fixed in File Explorer:

Fixed explorer.exe crash related to scroll bar loading / interaction in the last version.

Fixed an issue where the gallery might need to click twice on a node in the navigation pane for initial loading.

Fixed an issue where minimizing and reopening File Explorer would lose your scrolling position in the gallery.

Hovering over a picture in the gallery now displays a tooltip that contains information about the picture.

Real-time updates (including filtering) are now enabled, eliminating the need to manually use the refresh button.

Fixed an issue where some file types, such as .heic, were not rendered correctly or efficiently.

The following issues have been fixed for preview experience members through the modernization details pane in File Explorer

Make the background of the thumbnail slightly brighter in bright mode so that it is not too prominent.

If you are running the narrator when you open the details pane, it now reads the file name.

If the setting to display the file extension is enabled, it is now also reflected in the details pane.

[taskbar]

Fixed an issue that caused the taskbar to break when switching between tablet optimization taskbars.

[search on the taskbar]

Fixed a tooltip issue that caused internal testers to see empty immediately in some cases, including if the search box was enabled and the search highlighted the new hover behavior, the appropriate action was performed.

[other]

Fixed an issue where Braille-enabled narrators could not read numbered lists correctly in Microsoft 365 applications.

Note: some of the fixes mentioned in the preview experience version of the Dev channel may enter service updates for the released version of Windows 11.

Known problem [Dev Drive]

When rebooting, filters other than AV may be attached to your Dev Drive (CTOnews.com Note: provides simplified ReFS-based storage volumes). To check which filters are attached, run "fsutil devdrv query:" in Windows PowerShell. If you see more than just the AV filter, you can run "fsutil volume dismount:" and then run "fsutil devdrv query:". After completing these steps, you should only see your AV filter.

There may be different performance on different hardware. If you find that the performance of the device has slowed down, please submit feedback.

[search on the taskbar]

[new] using the keyboard arrow keys to navigate the search pop-up window on the taskbar will not work as expected.

The narrator user may not be able to navigate down in the left panel of the search pop-up window.

Text scaling may not work in the search pop-up window.

[file Manager]

Internal testers may encounter a file explorer crash when dragging the scroll bar or trying to close the window during the extension file loading process.

Internal testers who own a gallery in File Explorer will see the following problems

Thumbnail loading performance of dehydrated cloud files and memory usage in large collections are known issues that focus on improvements. Please perform performance tracking in the feedback center to resolve any performance-related issues. If the cloud file lacks a thumbnail, it helps to rebuild the indexer; search for "Indexing Options indexing options" and find the rebuild tool in advanced settings.

Internal test users encounter problems when executing the following command on the recommended file in File Explorer

Clicking the share command will currently bring up the Windows shared table (non-OneDrive).

[taskbar and system tray]

If you use multiple desktops, the taskbar may not display the correct application.

[notification]

The copy button used to quickly copy two-factor authentication (2FA) code in notification toast (first introduced in Build 23403) does not work in this release and will be fixed in a future release.

[backup restore]

PC backups that use restore settings may not appear in subsequent restores.

Restoring a solid color desktop background is not yet supported.
