CTOnews.com, June 2, according to a list published by the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple recently obtained a technology patent for Apple Watch.

The patent describes a strange application scenario in which Apple plans to install a camera on the back of the Apple Watch to allow the wearer to take Face ID images and generate 2D / 3D virtual avatars that can be used in Apple Watch and Apple AR / VR head displays.

CTOnews.com quoted Patently Apple as saying that the patent-related design sketches are attached. In addition to shooting faces to generate virtual avatars, Apple also said in the patent that Apple Watch can act as a controller to communicate with each other in virtual scenes.

Apple will embed more sensors in the Apple Watch to capture the wearer's facial features, eye features, fingerprints and other biometric information, and can recognize a variety of input methods, such as gaze, aerial gestures, voice commands and click gestures.
