CTOnews.com, June 1, Wccftech found a MSI laptop with a Meteor Lake-P processor at the Computex 2023 Taipei computer Show and even conducted a benchmark test.

Of course, the current Meteor Lake processor is still an early engineering sample, and the existing running score does not represent the performance of the final product.

The processor shows 6 P cores and 10 E cores in HWINFO, with a total of 22 logical threads. According to previous revelations, two of the 10 E cores should be in SoC (not CPU), with TDP showing 28W.

The CPU is based on 7nm and has 1.6 MB L1 cache, 18 MB L2 and 24 MB L3 cache, 3.1 GHz base frequency and 4.2 GHz Turbo Boost Max acceleration frequency, and the step is B0.

It is worth mentioning that we finally saw the upcoming Intel Arc iGPU on this model for the first time, which has 128EU (CTOnews.com note: previous generation 96 EU) and 1024 ALU, as well as 300MHz frequency, using 1GB shared vRAM, but there is no way to run because there is no driver.

What's interesting about this version of Arc iGPU is that it's not actually a fully integrated kernel display, nor is it a completely independent chip, but a separate small chip integrated on SoC, which may be a bit like the old Iris Pro.

The engineering machine uses a dual-channel 16GB LPDDR5 DRAM and has a score of 4261 on the Cinebench R23 multi-core test. But because this is only an ES processor, it cannot be fully invoked, for example, showing only 21% utilization in the task manager (100% of the normal running score).
