According to the report, Zinner said in the seminar that Intel's performance this quarter was remarkable, while refuting the view that the demand for GPU by generative AI will impact Intel's CPU business. In response to analysts 'questions, Zinner said that while GPUs are currently the most focused, Intel still has many ways to profit from the AI boom, such as PCs and edge computing, where a lot of work still needs to be done by CPUs.
In addition, CTOnews.com notes that Zinsner stressed that Intel's revenue for the quarter is expected to reach $12 billion to $12.5 billion (currently about 88.875 billion yuan), which is the optimistic scenario of the company's April forecast of $11.5 billion to $12.5 billion.
At the meeting, Zinsner also said that Intel IFS, which is responsible for foundry, will provide foundry services to help customers develop AI products. Zinsner pointed out that this is one of the ways Intel can catch up with AI.
