CTOnews.com, June 1, Wccftech found that Mingfan has demonstrated its new generation Mini- ITX motherboard at Computex 2023 Taipei computer Show, which will be used in the next generation mini PC, with optional 16-core AMD Dragon Range series processors and 24-core Intel Raptor Lake-HX processors.

As far as CTOnews.com knows, the maximum configuration of most mini-PC on the market is either 8-core (AMD) or 14-core (Intel). This is mainly because most of the current mini-PC use BGA encapsulated ITX motherboards, most of which can only choose mobile platform processors. However, with the introduction of a new generation of feverish products from AMD and Intel, that will soon change. After all, this generation of APU can have quite strong performance with high-frequency memory.

The new motherboard displayed by Mingfan includes two versions: AMD Dragon Range (16-core Ryzen 9 7945HX) and Intel Raptor Lake-HX (24-core i9-13900HX).

The two motherboards are very similar in design, with two SO-DIMM memory slots, one PCIe Gen 4.0x16 slot and two M.2 slots, powered by a single 8pin, and you can use PCIe adapter cables to expand dual-slot or even three-slot graphics cards.
