The second-generation NH-D15 radiator did not adopt a double-tower design, the company reduced the distance between the heat sinks from 1.9mm to 1.6mm, increased the effective heat dissipation area by 20%, and increased the CPU contact area.

The first generation of NH-D14 and NH-D15 are equipped with six heat pipes; in the new generation of NH-D15, their number has increased to eight, which conducts CPU heat more efficiently.

Owl says the second-generation NH-D15, despite its bulky size, is compatible with most motherboards and leaves an extra 9mm of space for installing large graphics cards.

The second generation NH-D15 fan is equipped with two new generation 140mm fans to improve the impeller design to obtain better air flow and static pressure, using the SecuFirm2+ installation system. The supply range of the new NH-D15 now includes a special installation kit for AMD AM5 processor sockets.

CTOnews.com Note: the second generation NH-D15 will include a tube of NOCTUA NT-H2 thermal grease, a proprietary NM-SD1 Torx T20 screwdriver, and a template to safely apply the thermal grease to the Ryzen 7000 processor.

The owl said it would launch a second-generation NH-D15 radiator in the second quarter of 2024, but did not release price information. According to the follow-up feedback from netizens, the price of the new D15 with a new generation of 140fan is expected to be about 150euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1140 yuan), and that of a single new generation 140mm fan is expected to be about 40 euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 304yuan).
