CTOnews.com, June 1 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- A previous survey by US Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) showed that 15 per cent of new iPhone users in the US market this spring came from the Android platform, an increase of 4 percentage points over 2022 and 5 percentage points over 2021, the highest proportion in nearly five years.

The agency released a follow-up report today, pointing out that the main reason driving Android apps to switch to iPhone is a variety of problems with existing models, accounting for 53%.

CTOnews.com quoted the agency as saying that Android users chose to switch to iPhone either because their devices were aging and needed repairs, or because of some defects in Android that affected their user experience.

The second common reason is to value iPhone's new features and experiences, such as better cameras, enhanced accessory options, or a more intuitive user interface.

The third reason is the cost. Although the price of mid-and low-end Android phones is lower than that of iPhone, 15% of respondents believe that because of various discounts, the cost of buying a new iPhone is lower than expected, or less than the flagship cost of the same type of Android.

The fourth reason is social contact. Only 6% of Android users have switched to iPhone because of iMessage and FaceTime.
