Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, May 31 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- Google's first smartwatch uses Samsung Exynos 9110 chip (System LSI) and 10nm technology, which was launched nearly five years ago and debuted with Samsung Galaxy Watch. According to new revelations, Google's new Pixel Watch 2 watch will bid farewell to Samsung Exynos chips.

According to the 9To5Google report, Google Pixel Watch 2 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, using 4nm process (longer battery life compared to Exynos 9110), Cortex-A53 CPU core with four main frequency 1.7GHz, a Cortex-M55 coprocessor, and Adreno A702 GPU with 1GHz frequency.

According to reports, this change allows Google Pixel Watch 2 to be used for more than 24 hours with AoD on and more than two days in conservative battery mode. The current Google Pixel Watch will continue for another 24 hours with AoD off.

By contrast, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to carry the Exynos W980 chip, a slight improvement over the Exynos W920. As a result, Google Pixel Watch 2 is expected to be more powerful and efficient than Samsung's next-generation smartwatch, thanks to more energy-efficient chips (two more CPU cores) and Wear OS 4 optimization.

The report also claims that Google Pixel Watch 2 uses the same health sensor as Fitbit Sense 2 and is expected to support accelerometers, barometers, compasses, ECG, GPS, gyroscopes, heart rate monitors, skin temperature sensors, sleep tracking, SpO2 oxygen monitoring sensors and pressure tracking (all-day), which is expected to be launched with the Pixel 8 series of phones later this year.
