CTOnews.com, May 31 (Xinhua) according to the latest report released by business services company Assurant, in the first quarter of 2023, trade-in services totaled $865 million to American consumers (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 6.124 billion yuan), and the average iPhone trade-in value exceeded $200 for the first time since the third quarter of 2021.

The average iPhone trade-in price was $201 in the first quarter of 2023. This is the first time that the average trade-in value of iPhone has reached the $200 mark since the trade-in value of $207in the third quarter of 2021.

The top five devices with the largest volume of transactions this quarter are the iPhone 11 iPhone, the iPhone XR,iPhone 12, the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The iPhone 11 remained the most traded device for four consecutive quarters, accounting for 38 per cent of the top five trading devices.

IPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max support 5G models, accounting for 29% of the top five models.

The Pixel 6 Pro became the Android model with the largest trade-in volume for the second consecutive quarter.

The average age of trade-in smartphones was 3.35, slightly higher than 3.26 in the fourth quarter of 2022.

In the first quarter of 2023, online trade-in grew by 41% compared with the same period last year.

In terms of wearables, Apple Watch Series 7 has the highest average trade-in value of $89.04, down 22% from the fourth quarter of 2022.
