CTOnews.com, May 31, less than a week before Apple's Global developers Conference (WWDC), Apple posted a blog post on its developer website that hinted at the upcoming Reality Pro headset, inviting developers to follow and learn how to "code a new universe (Code new worlds)."

The slogan "Encoding a New World" is only used by Apple today, which is an obvious hint to the new software platform. It is expected that the Reality Pro headset to be unveiled at the WWDC conference will run xrOS, a new software platform for developers.

The term "new world" may also refer to the use of virtual reality technology to create immersive experiences, such as games, content, etc. This may remind you of "meta-universe," but Apple CEO Tim Cook has expressed his dislike of the word, Cook said in an interview last year. "I'm not sure ordinary people can tell you what a meta-universe is." Apple marketing executive Greg Joshviak responded to Cook a month later, saying that "meta-universe" was a word he would never use.

According to media reports such as The Information, xrOS will include the ability for anyone to use Siri to create so-called AR "apps" without having to start from scratch. This is similar to the features already provided by Meta, such as Quest headers with an application called Horizon Worlds, which allows users to build 3D "environments and worlds" without coding.
