CTOnews.com May 30, Samsung South Korea blog announced that starting today, consumers can self-repair their Galaxy products. Samsung is launching a self-service program in South Korea that will guide owners of Galaxy products on how to repair their products.

Through South Korea's self-service program, Samsung Galaxy users can not only visit Samsung Electronics Service Center to repair products and purchase parts for their Galaxy products, but also repair their own equipment. Please note that not all devices can be repaired by themselves. Samsung self-service maintenance will start with a limited number of devices and parts and will gradually expand in the future.

A list of eligible devices and components that can be self-serviced can be found on Samsung's official website. First, Samsung provides self-service service for Galaxy smartphones and some TV models, which support the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series, as well as Galaxy Book Pro 15.6in notebooks, and TV models include 32-inch Samsung TVs (CTOnews.com Note: official list models include UN32N4000AFXKR, UN32N4010AFXKR and UN32N4020AFXKR).

Owners of these Galaxy smartphones and Samsung TVs can purchase the necessary parts and repair tools from Samsung's official South Korean service website to repair Galaxy smartphone displays, rear covers and charging ports, touchpads and power keys embedded with fingerprints.

For laptops, users can repair the display, battery, touchpad, fingerprint power button, front case, rear case and rubber.

Users can find the maintenance manual and video of each device on the Samsung Electronics website. After the maintenance is completed, the user can make a self-diagnosis through Samsung member App to check whether the repair is successful, and the replaced parts can be returned to Samsung Electronics. After that, the user will get a refund and the parts will be safely disposed of.
